Happy 4th of July!

We had a showing scheduled for our house yesterday afternoon so we knew we needed to be out of the house for it. Jared called his sister and asked if she wanted to go to a carnival I read about in Brownsburg. So we all got there around 3 and it didn't even start until 6! They kids were bummed but we played at the park for a little while instead. The park didn't last long because it was so hot outside.

So we decided to have an impromptu cookout. We went and got some fireworks to set off and some food to grill out. It was such a nice evening. The kids had a blast running around playing together. They had a lot of fun with Marshall's water table. The parents even got to play a little cards!

Then it was time for fireworks. I was so glad Marshall stayed awake late enough to enjoy them. He thought the sparklers were so cool. He looked so big holding them and standing with his cousins. When we set off the fireworks he just stared at them. I think he was half mesmerized and half so sleepy that he was spacing out. But either way he had fun. It was just a great evening!
